Years ago before yoga became wildly popular in the West, the practices and techniques of yoga had originally been passed down from teacher to student in a one-on-one relationship. These teachings were somewhat guarded and mysterious like a precious secret. The Master or Guru would teach only what the student was ready for and customize the practice according to their disciple's individual needs.
Today we have the advantage of yoga studios in nearly every neighborhood and a wealth of information available on-line. But sometimes, for various reasons, you may desire a more individual, personalized method of learning. Whether you are just beginning your yoga journey, have been practicing a while and have specific questions, are recovering from injury or illness or want to advance your practice to the next level, private yoga sessions can provide the attention you seek.
It is a great joy for me to work individually with clients to help them discover ways to adjust various poses for their own unique bodies and to gain a greater understanding and awareness of the relationship between their breath, mind and movements. I have worked with a wide range of students from athletes, to the elderly, to new moms and absolute beginners. I would love to have the opportunity to design a practice just for you to help you achieve your optimum level of fitness and health.
